Gi ant: I'm here with Dominic Dilger. He stopped me because he has
some important news. Go ahead Dominic. You're on 'What's Your
News?'
Dominic: Thanks, Gi. My news is today at school I learned how to make
something...out of newspaper!
Gi: Oh! Incredible news! Er, Dominic Dilger learned to make something
new out of old newspaper! He will now demonstrate. What will you make,
Dominic?
Dominic: I'll make a paper hat!
Gi: A hat? How are you going to turn newspaper into a hat?
Dominic: I'll show you. First, what you need to do is fold it from top to
bottom.
Gi: Dominic Dilger is folding the paper from top to bottom.
Dominic: Now you need to fold it from side to side.
Gi: Side to side. What next?
Dominic: Then you need to crease it. Once you've done that, you've got
to unfold it and what you've got to do is, you've got to fold the top left tip
so that it touches the middle crease and it doesn't matter if it's not perfect
because... it always comes out as a hat.
Gi: Hmm! I like that.
Dominic: Then, you get one of the bottom flaps and fold it upwards.
Gi: Bottom flap upwards...
Dominic: Then, you've got to flip over the paper and do exactly the
same.
Gi: Excellent flipping...
Dominic: Now, almost done, all you've got to do now is fold in the tips,
‘cause you don't want to walk around with a hat with tips sticking out, do
you?!
Gi: No you do not!! Dominic is now folding in the tips.
Dominic: And there we go. My paper hat. Ta-daaaaaah!
Gi: Isn't that amazing! A hat made out of old newspaper!
