Hi, my name is LaToya Patrice.  I am a licensed Zumba fitness instructor here today with About.com.  We are at the Blissful Energy Yoga Studio in Tigard, Oregon. We are going to be talking about some Zumba fitness moves especially for your glutes.With the Latin dance we are doing for our glutes today, reggaeton, there’s a lot of opportunity to work your glutes.Our legs are open, our knees are bent, we are moving side to side with the beat.We’re also incorporating a step to touch by going to our right and going to our left, going up and down with our knees, working our glutes, and our quads, and our hams, but we are essentially dancing to the beatBecause we are bending our knees a lot, and we’re moving side to side, and we are traveling with it, so your muscles are engaged almost the entire time and you don’t even realize it.Our thighs are being toned, our abs are getting a good work-out as well, and we’re having a great time.We can incorporate a squat very easily and still not feel like we’re exercising.So we can stomp, stomp and squat and that will engage your muscles and bring in that wonderful work-out that we want for our butts.With any aerobic activity, your glutes or your butt is going to get a work-out, if you are in a squat position.So as you engage those muscles, that’s when you feel the tightness in your glutes and even in your upper leg.With Zumba moves, you’re able to have that same experience, but you’re dancing and so you don’t necessarily notice that you’re doing twenty squats because it’s incorporated into a move.Thank you for watching, if you’d like more information about fitness, stay right here on About.com
