Hi I’m Maria Saracen from Artfully Nourished.com and in this video for About.com I’m going to be talking about different ways to incorporate chia seeds into your diet.Here are some ideas on how you can enjoy them:You can sprout them and use them on salads, you can sprinkle them on yogurt or cereal, you can soak the seeds and use them in smoothies, you can incorporate them into to baked goods, or you can eat them as a porridge.And for this last idea, all you have to do is soak the chia seeds in a liquid of your choice.  In this example, I’m using almond milk.  As you can see, liquid makes chia seeds very gelatinous.  Some people soak them overnight, but they’ll turn into a porridge even within 10 - 15 minutes of soaking.I encourage you to experiment with chia seeds and see how you enjoy eating them best.  Even just a tablespoon or two can be a very healthy addition to your diet. Thanks for watching and for more information, please visit About.com
