Hi I'm Christine Hassler, I'm a Life Coach, Author and Speaker, here today on About.com to share with you some common symptoms of stress.Some of the common symptoms of stress are things like being totally exhausted and feeling depleted; having a headache; being irritable with your friends, your family members, even waiters in restaurants; you may also be experiencing weight loss or weight gain. Stress is so taxing on our bodies that it really messes up our metabolism and our thyroid and all the symptoms that keep our body in balance.Stress also makes us want to eat or drink more than we usually would, or spend more; go into any kind of addictive behaviors. So these are some of the signs and symptoms of stress and often times we become so used to being stressed out that we don't even notice. We go to the doctor thinking that we're sick, when really it could just be stress. If you're experiencing these symptoms of stress, find a way to release and then replenish.Release means: get the stress out; move the energy; go to a kickboxing class; dance; scream really loudly in your car; maybe journal and then throw it away. And then once you release, find a way to replenish: take a bath; listen to some nice music; maybe go to a yoga class. As you start to respond to your stress in a less stressful way, the stress will start to go away.
