Hi, I'm Ilyse Schapiro, pediatric dietician and nutritionist and I am here for About.com to show you how to make dairy-free banana chocolate chip bread. Just because your child has a dairy allergy, doesn't mean they can't enjoy their favorite sweets. So, I'm going to show you how to make a great banana chocolate chip bread with dairy-free ingredients.So, what you're going to need is:So, in a mixing bowl, you're going to combine the oil and the sugar. Then we're going to beat an egg, next we're going to take both of the bananas whole and mash them in with a fork. You don't want to over-mash because you don't want the batter to become too gummy. So, now in another bowl, we're going to wisk together the dry ingredients. The baking soda, the baking powder, and the salt. So, now we're going to mix the dry ingredients into the wet – until the flour is just barely moistened. And then we're going to fold in the chocolate chips.So, you're going to put this in a pan, and bake it in the oven for 25-35 minutes until a toothpick or the end of a plastic spoon comes out nice clean so you know it's all cooked.
