Jennifer Garner – Jenny' in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past

This has got such an unusual twist. Is that what grabbed you because you've done romantic comedies before?
Jennifer Garner: "There's nothing more fun than doing a romantic comedy. You're all dressed up, you smell good, you get to kiss the boy. But this movie had a little more going on than normal. And even if it didn't have the really funny twists of ghosts and just Michael Douglas and Emma Stone and all of these incredible peripheral characters , it doesn't matter if it didn't even have all that stuff because Matthew is so great in this role. He was born to play it. And the dialogue is just a little funnier and smarter and more witty than you would typically see."

And working with Matthew, how easy was it to get that chemistry because you guys do have fabulous chemistry in this?

Jennifer Garner: "I mean, anybody that works with Matthew and doesn’t have chemistry needs to get their pulse checked, honestly. He's a chemistry machine."

Christa B Allen – 'Young Jenny'

So how does it feel to play Jennifer twice now? [Allen also played the young Garner in 13 Going on 30]
Christa B Allen: "It feels amazing. You know if people want to associate me with Jennifer and people say that I look like her, that's good enough for me. She's an amazing person and I just love her to death."

Even when you're not playing her do people come up to you and go, "Hey, you look at lot like Jennifer Garner?"

Christa B Allen: "You know what? The thing is they do. And looking at the mirror I don't quite agree but if that's what they want to say, cool. That's awesome."

What was it like playing the teenage role in this where she's kind of learning about boys?

Christa B Allen: "It was interesting. I mean, the character's kind of going through the same things that I'm going through with boys and having issues sometimes, and you get in fights and just kind of have to deal with it. But it's interesting too because in this you see how that pans out and how that affects them for the rest of their lives. It's kind of cool. It's like, 'Is this what's going to happen to me?' If I can be Jennifer in the future, that's pretty cool."

You've also got Youth in Revolt?

Christa B Allen: "I do. I just did Youth in Revolt with Michael Cera, which I believe is now coming out in October. That looks really, really hilarious. We all know he's genius, so I'm excited for that."

Who do you play?

Christa B Allen: "I play… You know what? You're going to have to see the movie. It's kind of hard to explain. Go watch the movie. I think it comes out in October."

Noureen DeWulf – 'Melanie'

You play Matthew McConaughey's assistant but also a ghost. Was that fun?
Noureen DeWulf: "So fun."

Working that closely with Matthew, did you learn anything really interesting about the guy?

Noureen DeWulf: "I learned a lot about him. I think he's a very professional actor and he's very nice. He brings his A game, no matter what he does."

And you're like the one woman in this movie he doesn't sleep with. Was it nice to play that character?

Noureen DeWulf: "It was nice to play that character, especially when the movie's about a womanizing guy. It's nice to be the one who doesn't have to wear revealing clothes and take your clothes off. You leave that for the premiere. Just kidding. Yeah, but it was really nice to play that character because you get to be a woman but still not objectified."

She's very strong too.

Noureen DeWulf: "She's very strong. Yeah, she's very out there. It's almost jarring to watch. I can't believe that's me."

Was it written that way? When you first read the script is that exactly how you saw her?

Noureen DeWulf: "to me it was how I saw her. Not with the accent – later on the accent came to play because Mark Waters the director thought it would be a funny layer of comedy to add on to it. So, I kind of agreed and went that far with it. I think it works. I think people really responded to it."

what do you think about this twist of having the three ghosts?

Noureen DeWulf: "I like it. It's based on a story that's already kind of been done and so it's interesting. It's nice to see the kind of player aspect in 2009. It's a very kind of common theme. All my guy friends are always trying to run game on girls, so it's funny to see them make a movie out of it."
