Ghosts of Girlfriends Past-Michael Douglas and Logan Miller
Logan Miller played the part of __________ Matthew McConaughey.
Michael Douglas: "Especially a ghost. Because I have no responsibilities – I'm just a ghost. It was fun. The writing was really snappy. I thought I loved not having the pressure of carrying a movie and just doing a little character. You can just pop in and out. It was a lovely group and so here I am supporting the movie, without having all that responsibility."
Matthew says he sees the character as kind of like a Bob Evans-type of guy. Did you see him that way?
Michael Douglas: "I definitely did but I don't want to get copyright infringements on Bobby's part. But yeah, Bobby did come into mind a few times during this process."
And working with Matthew McConaughey?
Michael Douglas: "He's great. He's very disciplined. One of the things – I really enjoyed him a lot – but since he wasn't married, but since he's had Camila and child, they settled down. You get much more centered. So I think it's probably the best leading man role. He's got great character stuff, surfer dude stuff, but this one he steps up as a real leading man. I think this is going to be a big picture for him."
What are you up to next?
Michael Douglas: "Probably Wall Street 2 and then maybe after that Liberace. That takes me to next year. We have two children – an eight year old and a six year old – so that's that."
Logan Miller: "It was really fun. It was so much fun. I got to work with Matthew, too. I also got to work with Michael Douglas and Emma Stone also. It was a lot of fun."
What did Matthew tell you about playing him? Did he give you any clues, any hints as to how to be Matthew?
Logan Miller: "You know, he didn't really give me any clues but being around him, just playing the cool kind of guy. And it was actually weird because I'm supposed to play him as a kind of nerdy person. He starts out kind of insecure about all that. So when I did those scenes it was a little bit different from normal Matthew and everything. But I do have one scene where I'm really cool and laid back so I really watched Matthew and saw what he did, and maybe did some of the accent too."
Which was more fun to be - the nerdy guy or the guy who is kind of Matthew?
Logan Miller: "Well, it was really fun being the nerdy one but the cool guy was really cool because I come down and everybody's like watching me. I'm just like, 'Yes, I am awesome,' so it was great."
Which one is more like you?
Logan Miller: "Probably a little bit of a mix because I am kind of a dork but people find that cool sometimes."
What was it like working with Michael Douglas?
Logan Miller: "It was great. He was totally professional, really great person to work with. I learned so much from him just by watching him."
