In this video, I'm going to show you how to find percentage change. So, what we're looking for, something that was once one thing, it changes to another value and we want to find the difference between the two and put it as a percentage. So, let's take an example. Let's take, for instance, let's say, over Christmas. Before Christmas, let's say I weighed 70 kilos so my initial weight is 70 kilograms. But after Christmas, my weight is now 75 Kilograms. So, what I want to do is find the percentage change but I need the percentage of my initial amount that I changed to become 75 kilos. So, what we do, the formula is this: percentage change is the final, take away the initial. You want to calculate it relative to the initial, my initial weight, or the initial, so you divide by the initial. To get it into a percentage, you always multiply by 100. Okay, so, using my example of eating too much over Christmas, let's say my final weight is 75, my initial weight is 70, and I put the initial in here and here and the final in here, put it into a formula. So, my percentage change in weight is 75, take away 70, all over 70 times 100. Well, that is 5 over 70 times 100 which is 7.14%. If you put that in a calculator, that is how to find percent change..
