To play Solitaire you will need:A deck of cards. A standard deck of 52, jokers removed.Got it? You are ready to begin.
Get it good and shuffled in whatever manner you see fit.
Deal seven cards, turning the first card on the left face up. Now deal another layer on top of the remaining cards, turning the second card from the left face up. Keep following this pattern adding a layer to the remaining columns, and turning up the leftmost card until all columns are complete for a total of 28 cards.
This will be the stack to draw from. Now that we're dealt, you can begin playing
V/O: Step 4: Check ‘em out.Look at the cards you've laid down. Now try and take the very next lower number cards, and stack them in order on higher number cards, alternating the colors. When you move a card from one column to another, you can now turn over the card underneath. If there was no card underneath, you can place a king there.Got it? Let's see that again. What you're trying to do is build your columns in descending order and by alternating colors. This means that the card played in each column must be the opposite color of the card showing and it must be the very next lower ranking.V/O: Top Tip: If there are any kings in play, you will want to move them to an empty column to uncover the cards behind them. Since the king is the highest card in solitaire—aces low—the only place you can put a king is in an empty column.
If you are out of moves in your columns, try drawing from the deck. There are different variations of Solitaire, but the most common way lets you draw three cards at a time. You can only use whichever drawn card is on top, working your way down, or drawing again.
Whenever you find an Ace, make a new column. Stack the cards of the same suit on each ace you find in ascending numerical order. That means going up.
Now you're playing Solitaire! To win you must get all of the cards you dealt and in your draw pile uncovered and ordered back into their suits.
