Now, you've decided that you'd like to go vegan. Well, I've been vegan for more than 10 years and at first, I was really quite nervous. I even had nightmares about going vegan but once you've made that decision and you have stepped up, you really do not worry because it's really embarrassingly easy to become vegan. So, your first steps, really, are to look at the foods you're eating and you may discover that you've got a lot of dairy products and maybe a lot of products with eggs in them, so decide maybe you're going to eat them all up and then go vegan. Or maybe you're going to share them out with family and friends so they can enjoy them and you can focus on the animal-friendly products. Now, there are lots of substitutes that you can use to make your life a little easier. I mean, it's great fun experimenting and finding out what works for you and your recipes, so you're probably used to popping down to your health food store, anyway, and now, maybe go there again. Check with the manager and say, “what is dairy free? What is meat free? What is vegan friendly?” And you're going to be amazed that there's absolutely everything that you could possibly want that is now vegan-friendly whether you fancy burgers, steakless steak, fishless fingers, or even soy prawns. There'll be something you can try. There's a whole array of dairy free milks, soy milk, almond milk, rice milk. I actually feel sorry for people that just stick with regular cow milk because there are so many other milks you can try. There are a ton of dairy free cheeses, cheese with chives, cheese with garlic, regular cheese, smoked cheese, cream cheese. It's making me really hungry just thinking about it. And of course, you have your dairy free ice creams, your dairy free yogurts, your dairy free margarine. There's absolutely something for you that is going to make your life much easier now you've decided to go vegan. .
