Golf: How To Improve Your Chipping Technique
音量
Place the golf club flat on its sole with the club face square to the target. Measuring a foot and a half behind the ball, stand with your feet close together.Turn your whole body - feet, hips and shoulders slightly to the left of the target. This is called an open stance and makes it easier to follow through - even on short swings. The golf ball should be in the middle of your stance to make sure that the ball flies from the loft of the club and not from being scooped.
Lean your upper body forward from your hip, keep your legs slightly bent and put slightly more weight on your left foot.Rest the club shaft on the inside of the left thigh and then take your normal grip. You are now in the right position to chip the ball on to the green.
Make sure the weight stays on your left foot throughout the swing to loft the golf ball into the air.As always, the swing is made from your body rotating around the spine's axis, making sure that your body leans your arms and hands. Keep your arms and wrists relaxed during the swing. The swing is like a pendulum where the backswing is equally as long as the follow-through.TIP: A good way to check that you are using your body instead of your arms and hands is to look for the V shape between your shoulders and hands. This V shape should stay the same throughout the swing. The upper body ends facing the target.
