Rebecca Murray from About.com Hollywood Movies at the LA Premiere of Columbia Pictures' Battle: Los Angeles.Tell me about being on this set. I hear you guys went through hell, but that it really helped with the bonding.Adetokumboh M'Cormack: "Yeah, this film, we spent three weeks prior to filming in boot camp. That consisted of pitching a tent and sleeping in it. We'd wake up at 5 in the morning and do literally hundreds of jumping jacks and push-ups. You learn how to assemble and disassemble M4s and M16s, and shoot 50 cals and all this amazing stuff. It truly was an amazing experience. It was really difficult. I think this was probably the most physically demanding shoot I've ever done, and an emotionally intense shoot. But I think it was all worth it. You watch the film and it seems really realistic and I've had a lot of friends who've been Marines who are like, 'Yo, from what I've seen so far, it looks like a real live-action Marine movie.'"You said it was physically intense, but you also said it was emotionally intense. Did you expect that?Adetokumboh M'Cormack: "No, I didn't. No I didn't. I remember when I first heard about this project, you're thinking, 'Popcorn flick.' You're thinking it's very superficial. But then when you read the script and go into production, it's just very, very character-driven. You have these fleshed out characters. The director, Jonathan Liebesman, he encouraged us to improvise and just really know our characters, know our relationships with the other characters. So if someone died, you really feel it. It's just like gut-wrenching feeling. It was amazing. You feel like you've trained with these guys and now you are going to war with these guys. And it was intense. And of course, the other thing is we also had to, because everyone was almost in character 24/7, everyone had to learn everything about their characters. So, I'm a medic and Jonathan would sometimes say, 'If I decided in this scene instead of giving this guy a head injury, I'll give him a chest injury, how would you respond?' I had to be on my toes and say, 'Okay, would I bandage the wound. Would I get a quick clog? You have to learn and so I had to read all these books and watch these documentaries, and talk to all these guys. It was amazing. It's the most research I've ever done for any role."It is not just an alien movie.Adetokumboh M'Cormack: "No, it's not just an alien movie. Are you kidding me? No, definitely not."Do you believe?Adetokumboh M'Cormack: "I believe, definitely. We're not alone. I mean it's impossible. The universe is enormous so I don't think we're alone."[Just two weeks prior to the premiere I had done a lengthy phone interview with Noel Fisher, so I didn't want to hog up his time on the red carpet - so I kept things short and simple]

What sets this one apart from every other alien movie?Noel Fisher: "I think that it is more based in reality than any other movie that I've seen. I like these kinds of movies; I've seen a lot of them. I think that's really unique to this movie. We really put a lot of time and a lot of energy into making it very realistic."How tough was it to play a Marine?Gino Pesi: "It was great. How tough was it? Well, it was easy because we had some really great advisors there with us. Sergeant Major Deaver, Master Sergeant Mender, really probably the best guys in the business, military advisors to do this. And they really did a great job making us all feel authentic and like this we were real Marines. Three weeks of boot camp, so yeah."Three weeks of hell.Gino Pesi: "Well, I kind of enjoyed it. I really wanted the training. I did not hate it at all. I actually enjoyed the training. I think you get paid to learn something new and I think it's required. As an actor, I personally want to get as much information, do as much research on the role as possible. So for me I absolutely loved it."More on Battle: Los Angeles:
