Sylvester Stallone, Randy Couture The Expendables Interviews
音量

Sylvester Stallone: "5 guys, where would we go? Well we'd have to go after Bin Laden of course. That would be the mission."
Randy Couture: "Give me 5 minutes with Bin Laden."

Sylvester Stallone: "There you go. That's what we need."

How does the action in this compare to other action movies you've done?
Sylvester Stallone: "It's far and away the toughest. I've done action films for 30 years and some really hard ones, but this one here was just grueling - just grueling. The heat, the amount of constant battering to the bodies, constant realism, it was hellacious."

How about working with Jet Li?
Sylvester Stallone: "Jet Li was fantastic. He's very quiet and he's extremely efficient, just like his fighting style, so we tried to accommodate him as being this kind of narcissistic, angry, kind of like...we became very funny, sort of his negativity and his speech patterns, but extremely effective."

How long did you need to get all of these guys together for the movie?
Sylvester Stallone: "Well, it took even 5 months after the movie I was still trying to get Arnold [Schwarzenegger] and Bruce [Willis] together. It took about 6, 7 months. It took a while because the film kept changing. But then I said, 'You know what? I just want tough guys. I want the toughest guys I could find, and guys that can act, too.' And that takes a while."

How did it capitalize on your style of fighting?
Randy Couture: "I think that they allowed me to kind of have some input and do things that I felt comfortable doing, and capitalized on my strengths - which is the physical."
