Kristin Bauer, Rutina Wesley True Blood Season 3,4 Interview
Whom does Rutina Wesley trust completely while filming True Blood?
Kristin Bauer: "Oh, wasn't that fun? Thank you. It was really fun for me."
Was it much more fun because you had much more of a character arc this year than they'd let you have in the previous seasons?
Kristin Bauer: "It was. I've had questions since the beginning - who is Pam? What's her relationship to Eric? What was their relationship? So it's fun to find out and it's fun to get to do those scenes."
And you and Alexander Skarsgard have such good chemistry onscreen. Off-screen, good friendship?
Kristin Bauer: "Yes, he is such a friend."
It's such a big, amazing cast. What is it like on that set?
Kristin Bauer: "I'm so lucky in Fangtasia because I get along with everybody really well. I enjoy these people; I love these people. And they're all so fun, you know? Anna [Paquin], Stephen [Moyer], and Alex I'm with a lot - and Denis O'Hare is the most phenomenal actor, the most incredible human being. So these are the people that I get to be around all day. It's so lucky."
Have they told you anything about the next season yet?
Kristin Bauer: "Nothing. I know - it's killing me."
Rutina Wesley: "Oh yeah, I'm always happy. I trust the writers completely."
And working with all these wonderful co-stars they had this year who were kind of in and out of the storyline, how was that on the set?
Rutina Wesley: "That was amazing. James Frain is one of the most amazing actors that I've ever worked with. He's very generous and I just had the time of my life. I had a very challenging season but it was awesome. If I could do it again, I would."
Even in the scenes where James was terrorizing you, it was still okay for you personally with James?
Rutina Wesley: "Oh yeah, we had fun! Yeah, we were cracking up a lot of times, with the speed texting and with just like me being tied up and the duct tape on the toilet with the flowers... I mean, come on, it's all hilarious."
Are you looking forward to next season?
Rutina Wesley: "I am. They haven't told us anything yet, but I'm looking forward to it."
Because you just kind of wave bye-bye in the last scene pretty much.
Rutina Wesley: "I know. Maybe...I don't know. But if she does come back I hope she's got some power and some strength."
