Falling down flat on your face is embarrassing and you can really hurt yourself. Make sure you’re not tripping over your shoelaces, check that your laces are double knotted and not frayed, securely tied, and make sure your shoes are in good condition. And most importantly be aware of your surroundings. Look out for roots, rocks and ruts. Pay attention to the ground and avoid potential hazards.Number 2. Excessive sweating. Sweating is a good thing. It helps the body stay cool and when you’re running you are going to work up a sweat. However some people sweat profusely from their armpits and even their feet. To combat this issue try using a clinical strength, waterproof deodorant on both your armpits and your feet. It will probably help reduce the chance of foot blisters as well.Number 3. Going to the bathroom. Stopping in middle of a run is inconvenient for you and everyone, especially, if you run in a group, and you don’t want to have an accident either, which would be very embarrassing. So before a run eat the right foods. Eat high carbohydrate foods for long runs, and foods that are easily digested. There are also wide range of specialty running foods that are made for easy digestion. Try not too eat fatty foods before you run, and prepare by getting into regular bathroom habits before you start running. This will help you on your running day to have an idea when you will need a bathroom break.Number 4. Getting lost. This is a common fear among runners. You may have friends waiting on you, wondering where you are if they should send out a search party. You need to plan your route, pay attention to signs, and follow directions of the run. The last thing you want to do is turn a 12 mile run into a 19 mile run because you didn’t pay attention to the route.And finally number 5. Wardrobe malfunctions. You don’t want to run along and have your shorts fall down or have your shoe fall apart.
