What Can I Do With Comprehensive Pilates Instructor Training?
Just because you know the exercises in your body doesn't mean you know how to
Hi, my name is Audrey Laurelton, I'm the owner of Equilibrium Pilates in Montclair, NJ and I'm here for About.com today. I'm going to explain what you can do once you've completed a comprehensive Pilates instructor training program. You'll be able to teach private, duet, and semi-private sessions on the different apparatus, including the reformer, Cadillac, tower mats, wonder chair, and high chair. You can work in a variety of settings, the most common is a private Pilates studio, but some physical therapy studios and larger gyms are also outfitted to offer a variety of Pilates sessions. If you are simply interested in teaching mat classes, then there are a variety of places you can teach, including smaller gyms, corporate gyms, YMCA's, and dance studios. Reasons to get a comprehensive Pilates instructor training include a more in-depth knowledge base, the ability to be able to teach, learning to cue. Just because you know the exercises in your body, doesn't mean you know how to effectively communicate them to others. Additionally, a certification will help enable you to get liability insurance, enabling you to protect yourself. Thank you for watching. For more information, go to About.com.
